The ceremony is taking place at the Black Hawk Watch Tower on the Black Hawk Historic Site in Black Hawk State Park in Rock Island, Illinois. Other individuals are visible in the foreground and background. The Poweshieks and some of the other Meskwaki are wearing feathered headdresses and other regalia. John Hauberg is wearing a suit and tie as well as a roach headdress. |
