DescriptionGroup portrait of John H. Hauberg talking with two boys of the Meskwaki (Fox) tribe. They are standing on the street, likely in Tama, Iowa; buildings, a bicycle, electrical and/or telephone lines, and a utility pole are visible in the background. The right arm of a fourth individual can also be seen at the left side of the image, and appears to be reaching out to get Hauberg's attention. Hauberg is wearing a feathered headdress, collared shirt, and a vest decorated with beadwork and/or embroidery. The boys are both wearing bandolier bags, and the boy on the left is also wearing a beaded headband.
