| Description | Group portrait of Jesse Kakaque and people of the Sac and Fox Nation or the Meskwaki (Fox) tribe, taken at the Watch Tower at Black Hawk State Park in Rock Island, Illinois. Jesse Kakaque, present in the center of the image, is wearing a roach headdress, bandolier bag and sash with his outfit, which appears to be composed of a tunic-length shirt and pants decorated with embroidery or beadwork. His wife, Minnie Kakaque, who is standing slightly behind him to his left, is wearing an outifit composed of a tunic-length shirt or robe accompanied by a long skirt, both of which appear to be decorated with beads or bells and elaborate trimming. The other Native Americans in the photograph are wearing tribal regalia as well, including feathered headdresses, ribbon shirts, vests, and moccasins. Another man, who does not appear to be of Native American origin, is also present near the center of the photograph and appears to be speaking with Jesse and Minnie Kakaque; he is wearing a suit and hat.
