Hauberg is wearing a collared shirt and pants, while the widow of the chief is wearing a ribbon shirt and a blanket wrapped around her waist. This photograph was taken at the Meskwaki Settlement in Tama, Iowa.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital Image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 24-bit RGB color 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the shadows from 0 to 28 and the highlights from 255 to 220 using Adobe PhotoShop 7.0.
