| Notes | From the papers of John H. Hauberg, MSS 27, Box 40, Folder 5: "May 5, 1916, at the Tama Indian Settlement. Three Indian boys. Two are direct descendants of Chief Poweshiek. Their names are Jimmie and George Soldier. Their mother was a Poweshiek. The boy with the cap is Sampson Ke-ah-na. Each had a bunch of Blue-bells which the woods afforded." |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the shadows from 0 to 18 and the midtones from 1.00 to 1.31, and by adjusting brightness +21 and contrast +19 using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. |
