| Description | Shown is the Covenant Mutual Benefit Association block building. It was located on the corner of Main and Kellogg Street. It is a brick and stone building with a cupola on the corner that has the words Odd Fellows Hall carved in stone. Located in this building were the Bank of Galesburg, Park Brothers Cash Grocery, City Pharmacy, Olson & Velander, and the Botherhood of Railroad Trainmen General Offices which was located on the Kellogg Street side of the building on the far right in the photograph. The Cash Grocery store has a sign in front of the display window that says, Closing out at cost sale. There are carved stone urns on the stone arches on the roof and a pole at the top of the cupola on the corner of the building. Many of the windows have awnings and a street lamp can be seen hanging from a wire in the middle of the street. |
