NotesThe Sandburgs were thought to be in Galesburg to attend the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln - Douglas debate. Written on the back of the photograph is the date, 1958. Address confirmed in the 1958 Galesburg City Directory. Identity of Marie S. Swanson confirmed by Rose M. Webb of Galesburg.

Object Description1 photograph : b&w ; 8 x 10 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the contrast from 0 to +33 and the brightness from 0 to +16 using Adobe Photoshop CS.
