| Description | Photograph shows the Fourth Ward School in Galesburg, Illinois, and it's students and teachers. There are a large number of young boys sitting on a wooden sidewalk in front of the school with a wooden fence behind them. Most of the girls are standing on the walkways leading to the school. There are also some children and teachers looking out of windows. The building is a large brick structure with a cupola on the roof. |

TIFF file created from a photographic print scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the shadows from 0 to 46, the midtones from 1.00 to.71 and the highlights from 255 to 229 using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. |
