DescriptionPhotograph shows a parade on East Main Street in Galesburg, Illinois taking place during the city's Centenary Celebration. Crowds are lining both sides of the street and there are many automobiles parked on both sides as well. There are three floats that are in the middle of the street. The O. T. Johnson Department store is visible on the left and signs for DeWitt's Cafe and Burgland's Meat Market can be seen on the far right. Other businesses in this image in the distance are Sparks, Ford Hopkins Drugs & Tea Room, Grant's and Kline's.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the contrast from 0 to +9 and the brightness form 0 to +25 using Adobe PhotoShop CS.
