| Notes | The P. E. O. Home was built around 1911 as the Knox County Old Ladies Home. It was purchased by the P. E. O. Society as a retirement home for their members in 1953 but was not exclusively for members of the Society. It was demolished in June of 2002. Address verified in the 1960 Galesburg/Knoxville phone book. There is a small damaged spot on the lower left of this image This photograph was loaned to the library so that it could be scanned and saved to CD ROM disc. |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a film negative scanned at 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjsuting the input level of the brightness from 0 to +30 and the contrast from 0 to +60 using Adobe Photoshop CS. |
