NotesThere is some damage to the photograph from the upper left to the center where the image cracked and tape was placed on the image. Written in pencil on the back of the image "Ostrich sulky racer at William's track Galesburg District Fair." Address verified from a 1905 Galesburg map.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the contrast from 0 to +21, and the brightness from 0 to +19 using Adobe PhotoShop CS.
