DescriptionPhotograph shows members of the Galesburg Military Band standing in the middle of East Main Street. There are eighteen men in uniform holding their musical instruments. There is a bass drum with the name of the band printed on it. There are two boys on the far right. The Second National Bank, F. H. Rearick & Son Hardware and a partial view of Lescher Drugstore are on the left. There are large signs hanging in the area advertising a big race on August 23 to the 26. The street is paved with bricks.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the contrast from 0 to +21, and the brightness from 0 to -13 using Adobe PhotoShop CS.
