DescriptionPhotograph shows the front of the C. B. & Q. Railroad depot in Galesburg, Ill. with a large crowd gathered there to say goodbye to the World War I draftees. There are numerous automobiles parked in and about the crowd and on man can be seen on a horse at center right. There are some people visible looking out of the second story windows of the depot. Written on the front of the image is "Galesburg Bidding God Speed to "Selected Sammies."

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print postcard scanned at 8 bit grayscale 1200. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the contrast from 0 to +10 and the brightness from 0 to +2 using Adobe Photoshop CS.
