DescriptionPhotograph shows a large brick and stone building with an electric sign on the right corner of the building advertising that it houses Illinois Power and Light Corporation offices. It is a three story building with a flag pole on the roof and several awnings on the left side of the first floor as well as a fire escape and automobiles parked diagonally on the street. Also visible is the Brown Corn Planter Works with a cuppola on its roof behind the Light and Electric building. To the right is the J. & R. Wholesale Grocery. There are two globe street lamps on either corner of the street. There is a man standing on the corner against the building.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8 bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of contrast from 0 to +10 using Adobe Photoshop CS.
