DescriptionPhotograph shows a window display of a large number of boxed and glass stored fruit products in the S. M. Swanson & Son grocery store. There is a large sign with Uncle Sam on it which states : "Help Uncle Sam conserve tin. Serve Del Monte dried fruits and Del Monte fruits & vegetables in glass. Make it taps for Japs. Tanks, Ammunition, Planes, Ships." There are five United States flags in the window and there are signs at the top of the window advertising different types of stored fruits. Canned goods and bottles can be seen inside the store on the right.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photogrpah scanned at 8 bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the input level of the contrast from 0 to +33 and the brightness from 0 to +23 using Adobe Photoshop CS.
