| Title | Spoon River bridge and mill |
| Date Original | ca. 1890 |
| Description | Photograph shows the Spoon River bridge and mill at London Mills, Illinois. The mill is on the right shore. A metal bridge and a small dam span the river. Several men are fishing from both shores, from the mill pilings, in the center of the dam, in the water and boats. Water is spilling over the dam. The mill is a four-story wooden building with a stone foundation and wooden pilings underneath in the river. An additional building is to the left, and a small island with vegetation is in the center of the river. Trees and brush can be seen on the river banks. |
