| Notes | Written on the back of the photograph: "Bear cage in Lincoln Park, Galesburg. After the bears died people lived in it." According to articles in the Galesburg Register Mail newspaper the bears were brought to area in the early 1920's and removed sometime in the early 1930's. |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit gray 600ppi. The master scan is untouched. but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the brightness from 0 to -4 and the contrast from 0 to +10 using Adobe Photoshop CS. |
