| Description | Inage shows two women who are either employees or volunteers for the Knox County Branch of the Regional Red Cross Blood Center loading trunks containg human blood into a station wagon. The automobile is parked outside of Walgreen's Drug Store in Galesburg, Ill. They are both wearing uniforms. There are three trunks on the sidewalk and the fourth is being loaded. There are signs on the trunks that state "This side up, human blood, glass, fragile." Printed on the windows of the drug store are the words "Cigars" and "Drugs" as well as signs for gin and wiskey. There is also a sign in the window between the two women that is a large toothbrush advertising Dr. West's Flexisoft Toothbrush. |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using a Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched. But this display image was enhanced by adjusting the brightness from 0 to +5 and the contrast from 0 to +8 using Adobe PhotoShop CS. |
