	Hawkinson Manufacturing Company employees Title Hawkinson Manufacturing Company employees Date Original ca. 1942 Description Image shows a large number of men working with wooden boards and appear to be making them into some sort of pre-fabricated structures. They are working next to the Santa Fe Railroad tracks. The Santa Fe Freight House can be seen on the right as well as several freight cars. The Hawkinson Manufacturing building can be see on the left and underneath the company name is the word "Millwork.". There are automobiles parked on the brick paved streets and a World War II "A" gasoline ration stamp can be seen on the windshield of the one of the automobiles. A 1941 Illinois license plate could be read on one of the automobiles. There is a truck on the far lower right with the words "Galesburg Construction Company" printed on the door. Two smoke stacks can be seen on the left and right in the distance. The master scan is untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the shadows from 0 to 74, the midtones from 1.00 to.90 and the highlights from 255 to 244 and the contrast from 0 to +10 using Adobe PhotoShop CS.
