NotesNames of the individuals in the image were identified by Mr. Pete Creighton in June 2010. Mr. Creighton is the boy shown in the image and he is the son of the owner of the newspaper, Mary Allensworth Creighton. The name and address of the newspaper was verified in a 1937 Galesburg City Directory. The left side of the image is damaged.

Object Description1 negative : b&w ; 4 x 5 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Epson Expression 1680 scanner with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 1200ppi. The master scan is untouched. but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the brightness from 0 to -11 and the contrast from 0 to +13 using Adobe PhotoShop CS.
