Mr. Taft was a candidate for the office of President of the United States. The speech is being given outside of the Old Main building on the Knox College campus. He is standing next to a small table on an outdoor stage. Clark E. Carr is seated to his left and there is a large audience in attendance. |

The master scan is untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the the contrast + 30 and the brightness -40 using Adobe Photoshop CS. |
