DescriptionPhotograph shows Brown's Hotel which was located at 252 East Main Street at the corner of Main and Kellogg Street in Galesburg, Illinois. It is a brick and stone building. The name of the hotel is carved in stone below a cupola. There is a horse drawn wagon in front of the hotel that has that has the words Enterprise Bottling on the side of the wagon. The is a barber pole on the corner for Dalton's Barber Shop. There is a sign on the corner of the hotel that there is a Railroad Agent's Office located either within or near the hotel. There are two street lamps hanging from wires.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using an Epson Expression 1680 with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a print photograph scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting the contrast level from 0 to +10 using Adopbe Photoshop CS.
