| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled C. R. Bares. Based on information in the 1900 and 1910 Federal census, Davenport city directories and the Davenport Democrat newspaper it seems likely that C. R. Bares is Catherine Rathbone Barris. However, no connection can be verified between Mrs. Barris and this family. This negative was etched "Mrs. J. C. Mead" leading to the conclusion this is the Jay Chander and Effie A. Mead family with son Chander L. (born in 1898). The 1908-1910 city directories indicate Jay Chander Mead was an electrician. |
