NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled "Mrs. Hubers". Based on other images in this collection, the 1900-1901 Davenport city directory, the 1900 census and the Tombstone Record of Scott County, Iowa it is probable this is the William and Clara (Knutzen) Hubers family. It was likely taken sometime after their eldest son, Otto, died in August of 1900. The 1900 census lists William (43), Clara (38), Otto (19), Henry W. (17), Olga L. (14) and Lillian L. (12). The family resided at 624 Scott Street and Mr. Hubers was the manager of the Rock Island Fuel Company. See also other images in this collection: X474 and X999.
