| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Susanne Davis. Based on information in census and Scott County, Iowa records, Susanne Appolonia Davis was born in June of 1899 to Thomas Bodley Davis and Appolonia Adelaide (Denkmann) Davis. Her grandfather, Frederick C. A. Denkmann was co-founder of Weyerhaeuser-Denkmann Lumber. Susanne married Charles Shuler, Jr. in 1922 in Rock Island, Illinois.
