DescriptionIn this full length portrait a young woman wearing a light colored floor-length gown stands facing the photographer. Her dark hair is pulled back and secured at the nape of her neck with a bow. Her gown has a blousy overhang at the waist, full sleeves and long tight cuffs decorated with lace. The high standing collar and top of bodice also appears to be lace. There is red "paint" around the image creating an ususual effect.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting contrast to 52 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
