| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Mark Doty. Based on information in the 1900 census, Mark Doty was a roomer living on Harrison Street in Davenport and was 28 years old. The 1910 census indicated he had been married for seven years to Cora and had a son Nathan, age 4. If the ring on his finger is a wedding ring this image was taken after their marriage in 1903. |

TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness and contrast with the auto balance function in Microsoft PhotoEditor. |
