| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Miss E. Putnam. However the glass negative was etched "594 Peterson". See also X490. Based on information in city directories and local newspapers it seems likely this is Mrs. Lavenius W. (Anetta) Petersen. Perhaps this was taken in 1908 on the occasion of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Petersen was born in 1830, came to America about 1857, married L. W. Petersen in 1858 in Davenport, and died December 1914. Anetta Hoepfner Petersen was a sister to Dr. Gust Hoepfner. |
