DescriptionIn this group portrait four women are posed directly facing the photographer. The eldest woman is dressed in black and seated in the center with her arms around the women on either side of her. There is a third woman standing immediately behind the elderly lady. The younger women have on dresses light in color with design and material in each different. A large painting hangs above them, indicating this may have been taken somewhere other than the photographer's studio.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 51 and contrast to 52 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
