| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Prof. C. Oelschlaegel. Nothing definitive was found regarding his presence in Davenport, but there was a Christian Oelschlaegel listed in the 1900 census as a violin teacher living in Henry County, Indiana. Born in Germany about 1866, he came to America in 1887. It would be reasonable to identify the age of the man in this image as in his forties. |
