NotesThe original negative envelope was labeled J.J. Brus. Based on information found in the 1910 Census, this may be Joseph J. and Elsie Brus, who were aged 26 and 23 years at that time. The occasion may have been their wedding, which, according to the Scott County Marriage Certificate Index, occurred on June 16, 1908. The couple standing behind are likely the witnesses, Bernhard Doescher and Alma Hansen. Note the studio curtain which can be seen in the background.
