NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled H. F. Evans. Based on information from the Davenport City Directory it seems likely this is Harry Fifield Evans, who was the manager of the Davenport Wagon Company for several years and later vice-president and foreign trade manager of the Moline Plow Company until 1924. He was also director of the French & Hecht Wheel Company. His wife was Grace Hamilton French, daughter of Judge Nathaniel French. Harry F. Evans had one son, Robert Tillinghast French who was born in August 1910. See also X697, X1126 and an image of their residence on Wood Lane on DPLVolume 26.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 69 and contrast to 58 using Microsoft PhotoEditor.
