| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled R. A. Newton. Based on the 1910 Scott County Directory and federal census it seems possible this is the Robert A. Newton family of LeClaire. Robert A. and wife Katie are listed as married 27 years. They are the parents of three children, Arthur-age 26, Mae-age 20 and Edward-age 17. Robert is a blacksmith and owns his shop. |

TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched but this display image was rotated 90 degrees and enhanced by adjusting brightness to 56 and contrast to 54 using Microsoft PhotoEditor. |
