NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Richard Altendorf. Based on information in the 1910 Davenport city directory and federal census it seems likely this is 36-year-old Richard Altendorf, brother of Fred. Based on the belt buckle and sword holder it is believed his attire is affiliated with the Knights Templar fraternal organization. The belt buckle says "In hoc signo vinces". See also image dplx557c.
