DescriptionTwo portraits on one glass negative of a mature man's profile. He is wearing a dark suit and hat, bow tie and white shirt. He has a full beard and mustache that is gray. It seems that this is a reprint of an existing photograph taken at an earlier time, and the two images on this plate are identical other than exposure.

NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled A. Walsh. Based on information gathered from federal census records and Clinton County, Iowa records it seems possible this could be Anthony Walsh of Clinton, Iowa, born 1833 and died after 1910.

Object Description1 negative : glass, b&w ; 8 x 10 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by rotating the image 90 degrees clockwise and adjusting brightness to 49 and contrast to 54 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
