NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled S. A. Osborne. The 1910 Davenport city directory and federal census indicate this could be Sarah A. Osborne, at the age of about 80. She was living at the Cook Home at the time of her death in May 1911. She was the widow of R. J. Osborne.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 70 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
