DescriptionTwo portraits on one glass negative. The left side of the plate has a woman and man seated by a window. The woman is wearing a dark dress with long sleeves, a lace collar, and a row of large buttons down the side of the bodice. She has on dark gloves and is holding what appears to be a dark scarf in her hands. Her hat is also dark and the net is over her face. The man seated next to her appears older than she, and he is wearing an armband on his left arm. His three piece suit is dark, as is his tie. He has a white shirt and collar. His hair is parted down the middle. He has a mustache and full eyebrows. The image on the right of the plate is a profile of the man, standing near a window. He has his left hand in his trouser pocket. The armband on his left arm is visible. This image has had a mark drawn through it.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by rotating 90 degrees clockwise and adjusting brightness to 66 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
