NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. A. Walsh. Based on research using city directories, census documents and county histories it seems likely this is Johanna V. Carroll Walsh, born ca 1835 in County Clare, Ireland and married in 1857 to Anthony Walsh. They raised a large family in Clinton, Iowa. This may be a copy of an image taken earlier.
