NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled B. L. Schmidt. Based on information in the 1910 Davenport city directory and federal census, it seems likely this is Bernhardt L. and Johanna (Kroeger) Schmidt who were married in Scott County 16 September 1896. By 1910 Schmidt was president of Schmidt Brothers Company and vice-president of DeLuxe Textile Company. Bernhardt (40), Johanna (39) and children George (5) and Amy (12) resided at 1503 Clay in 1910.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is ountouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 70 and rotating 90 degrees in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
