NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Dr. Palmer. Based on information in the 1910 federal census and Davenport city directories it seems likely this is Bartlett Joshua Palmer, also called B. J. Palmer. He was the son of Daniel David Palmer, founder of Chiropractic medicine and father of David D. Palmer. The 1910 Davenport city directory lists B. J. as the President of the Palmer School and Infirmary of Chiropractic. He lived at 834 Brady with his wife, Mabel and son, David. This image has a copyright symbol for photographer J. B. Hostetler in the lower corner. See also X843, X1006, and OS (oversize) images 6-8, 11, 14, 16, 17, 22, 23, 26-32.
