DescriptionPicture of the Centennial, a side wheel packet steamboat rebuilt from the Tom Jasper at St. Louis, Missouri in 1876. It was dismantled in 1879, but the hull was used to carry sugar, and it sank in 1883. Caption on the front: Longest Boat ever on Upper Mississippi, in Excursion Trade at Davenport, 1878.
