NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled C. J. VonMaur. Based on information in the 1910 federal census and Davenport city directories it seems likely this is the family of Charles J.(45) and Mary Ellen (Cable) VonMaur (45). The census states they have been married for 22 years and have four children: Cable G. (20), James (19), Richard (13) and Josephine (8). Charles J. was listed as President of Harned & Von Maur Incorporated and their residence is listed as 1800 East River in Davenport. See also X692.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 67 and contrast to 57 in Microsoft PhotoEditor.
