| Description | Two portraits on one glass negative of a young woman posed by a fireplace. In one image she is seated on a chair as she rests her cheek on one hand. Her eyes are focused to the right of the photographer. In the accompanying image the woman is standing next to the fireplace with one arm resting on the mantle. She is holding the hand of a toddler as she looks down at him. The toddler is looking toward the photographer, but his image is slightly out of focus. There is a large portrait on the wall above the fireplace. |

| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. Harry Evans. Based on information in the 1912 Davenport City Directory and the 1920 federal census it seems possible this is Grace Evans with son Robert. Robert is listed as 9 years old in the 1920 census making him a toddler circa 1912. Harry F. and Grace Evans are listed in the 1912 Davenport City Directory with Harry listed as the manager of Davenport Wagon Company. |
