| Notes | The original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. Artemus Lamb. Based on information in federal census records and Clinton County Histories it seems probable this is Henrietta Sabrina (Smith) Lamb. She was born in Ohio in 1845, married Artemus Lamb in 1865, had five children and died in Clinton County, Iowa in 1925. The Lamb family was extremely wealthy and involved in the lumber business with the Eastman and Gardiner families. |

| Digital Reproduction Information | Digital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF fill created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan remains untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting contrast to -14 and midtones to 16 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. |
