NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Fred Denkman. Based on information in the federal census and city directories it seems likely this is Frederick C. Denkmann, son of F. C. A. and Catherine Denkmann. He was involved in the lumber business in Rock Island, Illinois.

Object Description1 negative : glass, b&w ; 8 x 10 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF fill created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 5, midtones to 29 and shadows to 50 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
