NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled J. Bolinger. Based on information in the 1910 census and the Davenport city directories it seems likely this is James W. Bollinger, District Court Judge, president of Sieg Iron Company and vice-president of Security Fire Insurance Company. He would be about 45-years-old in this image.

Object Description1 negative : glass, b&w ; 8 x 10 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF fill created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting contrast to -9 and midtones to 7 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
