DescriptionTwo half size images on one glass negative of a woman and an infant. In one image both are seated on the same chair. The woman is looking down at the baby, who has one hand in its mouth. The other image shows the woman leaning back on a chair. She is wearing a dark dress with three-quarter length full sleeves. Her dark hair is parted in the middle and pulled back.

NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled B. F. Peek and baby. Based on information in census and city directories it seems possible that this is Anita Bell Peek, second wife of Burton F. Peek, and their daughter Eloise who was born in 1912. Peek was a lawyer and president of Tri-City Railway Company, residing in Moline, Illinois.

Object Description1 negative : glass, b&w ; 8 x 10 in.
Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF fill created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan remains untouched but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 9 and contrast to 2 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
