NotesThe original envelope is labeled Alice and Helen Ficke. Based on information in the 1910 Census, Alice, 23 years old, and Helen, 21 years old, were the daughters of Charles and Frances Ficke. They lived on 1208 Main Street, Davenport, Iowa. Helen is called "Helene" in the 1910 Davenport City Directory. Alice Frances Ficke married Devore N. Simonson on July 10, 1915. Helene Ficke married Charles H. Watzek on September 23, 1913. See also images X992, X1230 and X1000.

Digital Reproduction InformationDigital image captured using a Microtek ScanMaker 9600XL with transparent media adapter. TIFF file created from a glass negative scanned at 8-bit grayscale 600 ppi. The master scan is untouched, but this display image was enhanced by adjusting brightness to 27, contrast to 29 and midtone to 22 in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
