NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Mr. August Steffen. Based on information in the 1910 Davenport City Directory, August E. Steffen was President & Treasurer of Dry Goods Company, President of Guaranty Life Insurance Company, and President & Treasurer of Realty Company. His residence was 410 W 6th Street where he lived with his wife, Julie T. The 1910 Census shows his age as 44 years old.
