NotesThe original negative envelope is labeled Mrs. Sol Moritz. Based on information in the 1912 Davenport City Directory, Sol Moritz was the owner of The Hub, retailers of ready-to-wear apparel for men, women and children, shoes for men and boys, located at 121 West 2nd. He lived on 412 1/2 West 3rd with his wife, Emma. Based on information in the 1910 Census, Sol Moritz, age 46, was a clothing store owner and lived with his wife Emma, age 40, in Davenport. Sol Moritz and Emma Alberti were married in Davenport on May 18, 1893. Their marriage certificate lists her parents as Randolph Alberti and Rosie Nagel. She was 31 years old at the time of their marriage and she was born in California.
